In the 2014 Lok Sabha general elections, Mohan assembly segment had given a huge lead of 36616 votes to the BJP Unnao Lok Sabha nominee and the current MP Sakshi Maharaj over his nearest BSP rival Brajesh Pathak who received 41779 votes in the Mohan assembly constituency.
